This movie is lit. It's fire. Even before I saw it in theatres three months ago, I knew it would be awesome (because that's generally what happens with a cast like that: Janelle Monae, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer Mahershala Ali, etc.). But definitely a family watch, shows the courage, perseverance, and, most of all, badass intelligence of these three capable black women. I don't remember when I was last so proud to see a movie about black women. Definitely a feel-good classic. 10/10 would 100% reccommend

This movie was much better than I anticipated, speaks to a truth of segregation and daily discrimination. This movie highlights and humanizes both sides in a way that feels real and shows how uniting to conquer a common goal helped to unite a divided country while giving light to the state of affairs within the wider U.S.A. A lesson that is more than worthy of revisiting in times of strife as we are currently facing. A solid movie, well worth a watch.
