Mesmerizing, High Life is one to think about only. It seems like it has substance but barely any story possibly, but I dont think thats the case. I think you just got to really pay attention to it. The title card scene in the film is fantastic looking. The production and visuals are quite great. I feel like maybe execution could have been better but I dont know. Honestly this one is hard to say. It gets really, really bizzare so you do really got to pay attention. I think it does well.

The concept of this film was really great. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn't work for me. The movie progresses in a way that was supposed to reflect the way time is warped in the gravitational field of a black hole. I understand that, but it really made for a hard to follow story. Basically a bunch of criminals launched into a back hole so they can be subjected to reproductive experimentation inside black holes. No one could ever get the information though. It's impossible.

Visually impressive, with an interesting premise that's completely wasted on non-linear scene placement and endless exposition. Great performances from Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, and Mia Goth highlight an otherwise lukewarm rental. Go watch Moon if you want a more engaging sci-fi film, with a human component.
