Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), Chad (Corbin Bleu), and Taylor (Monique Coleman) have scored sweet gigs at the Lava Springs Country Club owned by Sharpay and Ryan's family. Sharpay's first rule of business: Get Troy. As Troy experiences a life of privilege he's never known, will he give up the Wildcats and Gabriella to rise to the top? Sharpay is the star of this instalment, as is Ryan and Mr. Fulton, who both turn in great performances. Troy is even more gorgeous and conflicted than before. Gabriella remains a Mary Sue who will actually irritate you this time round. The plot is not resolved in a satisfactory manner, as one must assume that by singing, Troy and Gabriella could patch up their problems. Nice, light entertainment if you want to kick back.
