Producer Mike Cernovich’s goal with HOAXED was to deconstruct America’s post-fact media landscape with a creative insider’s look at the Fake News phenomenon and the consequences of media misinformation, with interviews from those who have been accused of spreading it themselves. Is HOAXED an exposé of the corporate press or just more anti-media propaganda from astroturfing trolls? Maybe HOAXED, like Fake News itself, is two movies playing on one screen.

Ratings and reviews

Just the fact that Alex Jones, the right-wing stooge who was successfully sued for lying about murdered little children is a welcomed contributor to this "movie" says enough about the contents and all the people giving it positive reviews.

I love that he included BLM founder. I wish there were more examples of blatantly edited stories. I'm sure you could fill volumes. Maybe a miniseries?

I watched this expecting to have already known everything discussed. What surprised me is the number of things I didn't know, and how they're not being discussed on either side of the aisle. I wish more people would watch this, especially those people I know of all political persuasions; I fear far too many of them will reject this recommendation, thinking I don't know what I am talking about.
