I actually enjoyed the part where O got almost killed. Then I was disappointed...:'( Stupid jokes, stupid plot, cheesy, and flat out dumb. Didn't even smile once during the whole thing. Found myself wanting the bad guy to kill everything. Waste of money and time. Leaving after the movie ended so I could bang my head against a wall was my favorite part. Shoulda convinced my cousin to see Jurassic World instead X(

There's one scene in this movie that's pretty awesome, where the alien rebuilds the girl's car out of a quick-e-mart and it plays a nice tune by Balkan Beat Box. The rest of the movie was barely engaging. The plot is obvious from the beginning, and the alien's forced grammatical weirdness gets annoying after a while. It's a shame, because this concept could have been executed a lot better by a different studio.

Yes, this is a kids' movie: it's cute, filled with laughs and tender moments, and has a flying car that runs off slushies. But it also contains some criticisms of consumerism, stereotyping and the throw-away culture. Basically, it's a fun, madcap little movie for the whole family to watch and jam out to, and it doesn't skip on substance. I'll be watching it again.
