It's tough being nine. Tougher still is spending Christmas with Dad at his new girlfriend Natalie's mansion even though it's loaded with all the techno-gadgets any kid could hope for! This is where the series starts ti gradually go downhill. The 4th Home Alone goes away from what made the first three movies great. This movie has terrible voice acting and is a slight repeat of Home Alone 3. The plot is boring and isn't good enough to keep your full attention. The main villain, Marv, is played by the same guy who played Inspector Gadget from Inspector Gadget 2, doesn't capture the character too well. Plus, Marv is very easy to be confused with Harry.

Great movie. It seams like a small repeat of HOME ALONe 3 but still has the little twerks that make it HOME ALONe. If you did not like HOME ALONe 3, 2, and/or on 1, this movie is not going to change your feelings about HOME ALONe. Most people say that only one and two or good but I find that they are all about the same in goodness. It is true --------Spoiler for movies three and four---- they do repeat the trick with bookshelf falling on the criminal. The best part is that they bring Marv back. The step mom is amazing. The booby trapping was not so great because there was not a big set up. Kevin just did a do it as you go vibe adding suspense but also a bit less funny.

Home Alone 4 is just terrible. What's hilarious is you have the McCalister family from the first two films played by new actors/actresses. Marv returns but he looks like Harry which had me confused. The plot has tons of throwbacks to the first film but it really isnt as good as the first two films.
