À propos de ce film

Hatidze lives with her ailing mother in the mountains of Macedonia, making a living cultivating honey using ancient beekeeping traditions. When an unruly family moves in next door, what at first seems like a balm for her solitude becomes a source of tension as they, too, want to practice beekeeping, while disregarding her advice. The most awarded film at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Honeyland is an epic, visually stunning portrait of the delicate balance between nature and humanity that has something sweet for everyone.

Very heartwrenching for women in This area of the World. To be overlooked & treated as a 2nd class citizen! We in US are oblivious to despair of such inhumane treatment as single women, to not be recognized as a true Survivor in such squalor & never forsaking her own mom! Man truly was a portrayal of Scum & inhumanity in this text. Not to mention the children of such neglect & forced to survival skills beyond their means at such a young age😢I work with foster children & all the abuse of neglect through drugs, mental illness of parents,etc.... This movie parallels the emotional trauma these innocent youth carry for the rest of their lives! As Hazeid (the Beekeeper) stated Godspeed🙏🙏🙏‼️

Honeyland is an extrodinary well shot beauty that tells well of the struggles of living in a small turkish community that is not much of a town nor a village. It is emotional and captivating, telling about beekeeping and neighbors needing the same thing that is limited. It's wild.

Excellent dramatized documentary film! The viewer is slowly drawn into the isolated quiet life of Hatdize who lives in balance with her honeybees in the arid rocky countryside of Macedonia. Her simple tranquility and the health of the honeybees are shattered when her seasonal neighbor dairy farmer returns for the summer season.
