80% of the movie is amazing & hysterical. The big zombie showdown though imediately strips the emotional gears and gets all sad and horrifying. Felt like American comedy formula.

Follows in the footsteps of Shaun of the Dead as one of the best genre parodies ever made, it's just cop/action movies this time instead of zombie movies. The cast is much the same as Shaun, which means it's great and the chemistry between them all is amazing. Great writing and snappy dialogue so good you might need to watch it a few times to catch it all. One of the best comedies of its decade.

Beautiful scenes that are well framed. Comedic timing is on point. And what keeps me rewatching this one are all the details of a real murder mystery that you might miss upon first viewing.
