A sad, very well written movie. I think sylvie, the aunt , doesn't want to live in adult realities of life. She has a fantasy, magical type thinking, maybe to make things easier. She is a loner but isn't a bad person. Well Worth the watch

Christine Lahti stars as an aunt that goes to take care of her nieces after her sister commits suicide,,but they come to realize shes very strange herself,,good movie!

Bill Forsyth made two of my favorites, LOCAL HERO and HOUSEKEEPING. The latter will likely jerk some water from your eyeballs.
