Daisy (Saoirse Ronan), a teenager from New York, is sent to the English countryside for the summer to stay with cousins. She soon immerses herself in a dreamy reality as she falls madly in love with Eddie, until their perfect summer is blown apart by the sudden outbreak of a 21st Century world war. Separated from Eddie, Daisy is soon forced to fend for herself in a cruel new world. i really gotta say, the filming was like 'doco' style! Still reckon the foxes amongst the corpses were done via cgi,...but.... nevertheless, well done! On the lower note, pity we didn't see the cast suffer from more severe radiation poisoining as the film progressed...... (maybe a 'how i live now2' maybe released?

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would, I find Saoirse Ronan's choices of roles rather bad, but this was a rather interesting film.

Can't ask for more than a well acted and well directed storey. Very Good movie.
