In this heartwarming story about listening to your heart, Winona Ryder stars as Finn, a graduate student who decides to spend a summer away from her boyfriend at the home of her grandmother (Ellen Burstyn) and great aunt (Anne Bancroft). But Finn's plans to finish her thesis and mull over a marriage proposal are quickly pushed aside in favor of listening to the ladies of her grandmother's quilting circle, as they reveal the loves and losses that shaped their own lives. As the quilt nears completion, Finn realizes that the gift they've given her is far greater than anything counted in stitches.
