Sophie, a quiet girl working in a hat shop, finds her life thrown into turmoil when she is literally swept off her feet by a handsome but mysterious wizard named Howl. The vain and vengeful Witch of the Waste, jealous of their friendship, puts a curse on Sophie and turns her into a 90-year-old woman. On a quest to break the spell, Sophie climbs aboard Howl's magnificent moving castle and into a new life of wonder and adventure. But as the true power of Howl's wizardry is revealed, Sophie finds herself fighting to protect them both from a dangerous war of sorcery that threatens their world.

Studio Ghibli has always been apart of my life but Howl's Moving Castle is the movie that helps me define myself. It makes me tear up everytime I see it as I pull a new message out of the film. Not to mention the mix of different types of 2-D animation is phenomenal. Each character has flaws and each one has quirks and traits that make you fall in love with them. Studio Ghibli has helped me discover that love is shown in many shapes and forms and this shows the most classic form; romantic.

this movie is INCREDIBLE, BEAUTIFUL AND SPECTACULAR. THIS MOVIE IS TAKING OVER MY LIFE. I ONLY RECENTLY BEEN INTRODUCED TO IT. IT'S AMAZING. HOWL IS GORGEOUS. I LOVE SOPHIE AND THE REST OF THE CHARACTERS ARE GREAT. THE ART IN THIS IS FLAWLESS. I BOUGHT PINS/ OUTFITS / BOOKS BASED AROUND HOWLS MOVING CASTLE. A WONDERFUL STORY. THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS THE ONLY REASON I FALL ASLEEP. IT'S THE BEST THING EVER.

It can be a bit cheesy at times with the romance but it is such a great movie. I might need to watch it again because the storyline is so packed that it's one of those movies where you might catch small things and phrases that you missed watching the movie the first time. The animation is 10/10, it's great. This isnt the best Ghibli movie personally speaking but it is one of the best animated movies out there.
