Sophie, a quiet girl working in a hat shop, finds her life thrown into turmoil when she is literally swept off her feet by a handsome but mysterious wizard named Howl. The vain and vengeful Witch of the Waste, jealous of their friendship, puts a curse on Sophie and turns her into a 90-year-old woman. On a quest to break the spell, Sophie climbs aboard Howl's magnificent moving castle and into a new life of wonder and adventure. But as the true power of Howl's wizardry is revealed, Sophie finds herself fighting to protect them both from a dangerous war of sorcery that threatens their world.

Kind of a fine film but I lost at the nearly end. That girl's curse. Did it break itself or she had to live in old woman form?

The first movie to make me truely bawl with happiness. Its a mystifying magical story that exemplifies everything perfect about Ghibli studio films, and bundles it expertly with the heartwarming story by Diane Wane Jones. If you loved the book, this does it justice. If you didn't, its magnificent in its own right. A must see film for all time that I maintain will never get old.

It can be a bit cheesy at times with the romance but it is such a great movie. I might need to watch it again because the storyline is so packed that it's one of those movies where you might catch small things and phrases that you missed watching the movie the first time. The animation is 10/10, it's great. This isnt the best Ghibli movie personally speaking but it is one of the best animated movies out there.
