I am sorry, but this movie was a waste of money and an even bigger waste of time. The clown is still good, but the rest of the cast bore me to tears and the movie is too long for its own good. The plot closely follows the plot in the book, with some deviations here and there, but the final product is a borefest. The movie fails to pull you in and the set pieces are predictable and you feel you've seen it all before. I don´t blame the cast, though, I blame the script writers. It is just a bad movie. I found myself nodding off at least three times. And i think marketing it as a horror film is a blatant example of false advertising, because this movie is not a horror film. It's more of a boring coming of age story with some scary, albeit in a cheap way, moments. Stay away from it and watch something else. Waste of time and money.
