Too many people wanted a repeat of the first movie, but that is not how this story plays out. The casting was perfect and their performances were first rate. I absolutely enjoyed how the film makers dealt with the source material. Everyone in the cinema was entertained, and that is what matters. Looking forward to the 6 hour super-cut of both movies together coming soon.

Chapter 1 definitely outshines this sequel but all around the casting, performances and storyline were great! I think the filmmakers did an incredible job with the source material (considering the story itself is pretty unbelievable and a little hard to follow). Not super scary but moments of humour break up the fear and sadness all the way though and are placed extremely well. Would definitely rewatch.

The only decent part is summed up nicely in the >3min official teaser. Save yourself the other 2hr47mins of disinterest and watch something else, something you won't turn off at 1hr20mins cause "HOW IS IT! (🎉) NOT EVEN HALF WAY THROUGH YET?!?!", Note - definitely check the run time before deciding what movie looks good or not. I wouldn't have watched it at all if I'd bothered looking at the run time. Anything over 2hrs and I'm out. Usually. Damn rookie error.
