About this movie

Somehow immune to an unstoppable, incurable virus, military virologist Robert Neville (Smith) is now the last human survivor in New York City and maybe the world. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find an antidote using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.

I know I shouldn't love this film. It's not faithful to the book (for the 3rd time in a row), the infected may as well have a heavy outline round them screaming,"I'm CGI!" But I still love it. The first part really draws you in to what it would be like in NYC after such an apocalypse and those city effects are great. Not sure about either of the 2 endings but I still just love this film.

The concept had so much promise but fell flat with silly CGI infected and Will Smith trying to act vulnerable - which he clearly can't. Recast, relocate and slash the budget and you've got a good un'.

I liked the omega man and didn't hold out much hope of Will Smith doing it any justice. However this movie has great pacing, decent acting, tense moments and improves on its predecessor in a lot of ways.
