Featuring interviews with teachers, former classmates, fans & even a celebrity look-alike, the film was an immediate hit with audiences & critics. It received the prestigious "Student Academy Award" for Documentary Achievement given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences & was chosen to screen at the 1984 Olympics by the American Film Institute.
