About this movie

In the year 2035, technology and robots are a trusted part of everyday life, but not for robo-phobic police detective Del Spooner (Will Smith). While investigating the apparent suicide of a renowned robot designer, detective Spooner teams with robo-psychologist Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan) and a prototype robot with human emotions to thwart a worldwide revolution designed to overthrow human rule.

This is a movie full of promos for JVC and Converse shoes and Audi and other random brands. It does some justice to the basic skeleton of Asimov's original plot in his novel I, Robot, but honestly, it can never hope to meet the episodic, deep and unique world of the novel. Worth a watch, and for Asimov fans, worth a grimace.

I watched this when I was in junior high. Will Smith gave one of his best performances in this one. Everything from story to vfx was great. A must watch for all sci fi nerds.
