A high school boy stumbles across a secret journal in a hospital one day. He soon finds out the diary belongs to his classmate, a girl named Sakura Yamauchi, who is revealed to be suffering from a terminal illness in her pancreas and only has a few months left to live. A secret they share that brings their hearts closer together.

Don't let the title fool you, this movie will have you in tears. I Want To Eat Your Pancreas is a beautiful Anime film, some people might call this a romance with a tragic twist, but to me I found this movie to be more a coming of age story. This movie is wonderful it has great life lessons, amazing characters, with a great story, a beautiful soundtrack, and good animation not anything on the level of A silent voice or Your Name, good animation none the less, but overall I love this film

This movie will absolutely have ypu in tears I'd say you will need a tissue box for this one and I'd put it on the same level or close to your lie in April and the series Charlotte
