The "Ice Age" saga continues in this sidesplitting sequel, as Scrat's acorn obsession sparks a continental catastrophe that sends Manny, Diego and Sid on an epic adventure involving a ship full of fearsome pirates and an unexpected reunion. Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he's been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences - a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

Ratings and reviews

The movie wasn't BAD, but it is definitely a sequel for the hell of it, like Shrek 4. The pirates, especially Captain Gutt, were easily the jewels of the film stealing the spotlight, but their story telling potential was woefully underused; I'd love to see a spinoff of their adventures prior to this movie. Cast was unnecessarily expensive with names like J. Lo and Nikki Minaj lending their voices (both actresses in particular were unnecessary; but Lopez's CHARACTER was painfully ham-fisted in.)

I give ice age continental drift a 6.6/10 Pros (the good): movie wasn't as bad as people say it is, Granny was kind of funny, I like How Diego has a love interest in this movie, I like the little pirate pig guy He's my favorite pirate, There was a ice age continental drift dance made by Sid Cons (the bad) tended to recycle ideas from other ice age movies, some unfunny jokes, the pirate pig didn't talk, some scenes dragged on ( You're going to hear me saying that a lot during these movie reviews)

Why another one? This is the worst one yet. It had the same story of the secound on and that one wasn't even good! The jokes are stale though the old sloth was kinda funny a bit, and the squirrel thing is starting to get really old. I give this a 2.4/10.
