Otztals Alps, Italy - 5,300 years ago. Returning from a hunting trip, Kelab finds his settlement raided and his entire tribe, including his wife and son, murdered. Driven by pain and anger, Kelab has only one goal - revenge.

One of the best films I have watched in years. A Moses inspired story line sprinkled throughout with scenes woven in that hint at the birth of religion. Set in the Italian Alps in 3300 BC, the story is told with no intelligible dialogue but you hardly notice. The acting is so good that words are unnecessary because they convey so well the heartbreaking humanity of our species violent history, and our search for something better Think 'Death Wish" Noir acted superbly. The only reason for this film to have gone unnoticed that I can think of is the name. There are dozens of Ice Man type movies and this one seem to have been lost in the media muddle.

I rented this from my local library. I thought wow even though this Man's family children and possibly his brother and a sister-in-law's family have been brutally murdered, he still has enough of a conscience to think after he kills the first couple of guys "why am I doing this this doesn't make me any better than them" excellent drama that reminds us that this world was a very violent place in the beginning. No prisons no judges no cops nothing but kill or be killed based on revenge

I would watch it again. You feel this man's pain as he looks to the sky above as in prayer, as in asking God, why? But, he had a duty to even the score. Yet, after he kills his family's murderers, he spares the woman and two young girls. Well done. Five stars from me.
