I just finished watching The Grinch through G-Play movies. It was alright, though it will never be like what Chuck Jones and Boris Karloff did (there was magic there). I like the score, kudos to Mr. Elfman. I believe the true star of the movie was Max, he was the Gromit to the Grinch. I could spend my time praising the antics of Max. Pharell Williams...not a very good narrator, he was just missing something that Karloff and Hopkins had. But it was a lot better than 2000s The Grinch. 4.5/10.

Really wanted to love this movie. It just felt flat. it's okay it could have been great though. This did miss a key ingredient that the other two movies of the Grinch did...this version didn't use the song "You're a mean one Mr. Grinch" When you think of the Grinch you think of this song and boy did they drop the ball by not incorporating it in the film. Pharrell Williams could have given it his magic touch for a revamp of the song. Over all a Okay film but NO magic here.

Unlike the ridiculously disconnected Jim Carey version of the Grinch, this one nails the character and story of the original. Of course, it delves more deeply into the story, and adds a couple side stories, but that should be expected in a full length movie. The heart of the original story is intact. Also, the movie is visually stunning. Really gets your Christmas spirit going. Also, I'm amazed that so many critics and reviewers are upset that this movie has changed the story too much and not enough at the same time. Anyone who says the Grinch is not "Grinchy" enough did not understand the Grinch in the original story. He was always a lovable green guy who didn't understand Christmas, and whose heart grew at the end.
