A witty, poignant, very polished film about what it really feels like to be a young woman today. Ann Lupo’s honest vulnerability is deftly presented, without ever feeling schlocky and self-pitying. As important as the lessons learned about fantasy, projections of romance, are the lessons about friendship. So many young people (actually people of all age should) get swept up in a solipsistic storm when they are in love, or looking for love, or getting their hearts broken, and the effect this has on friendships can be destructive. Ann portrays this fallout very well. A light touch throughout the film makes it feel like revelation rather than angst. Bravo!
