Set in 1860's Paris, Therese (Elizabeth Olsen) is a sexually repressed young woman trapped into a loveless marriage by her domineering aunt (Jessica Lange). When she meets her husband's alluring friend, Laurent (Oscar Isaac), she is drawn into an illicit affair that leads to tragic consequences.

I waited a while to watch this, so you can imagine how happy I was when it became available in google play. Not what I expected it to be. The beginning kept you interested, but it became soooo annoying! Useless dialogue. It had such potential! The trailer did the movie justice, but the movie itself was a disappointment.

Everything was predictable, right down to casting. One knew immediately Laurent was a bad guy, e.g.. All the actors were caricatures, and the plot was hackneyed.

I loved it it was intriguing so heart felt the young lady didn't know what it was to be in love And the gentlemen she mat he just mislead her to all viewers this movie is a must see I loved it
