As if a forced confession weren't enough injustice, the police work to implicate Conlon's father (Pete Postlethwaite) in the same crime. Emma Thompson plays the lawyer who worked for years to uncover the truth.

What an excellent film,Pete postelthwaite and Daniel Day Lewis are first class together in this epic about sinn fein and the IRA. This had me glued to it from start to finish. Highly recommended.
