Catherine Deneuve earned an Oscar(r) nomination for this Academy Award(r)-winning (Best Foreign Language Film, 1992) tale of passion and revolution in colonial Vietnam. saw this when I was little... not sure why but I can't forget it and it was one of those movies that I feel in love with.
