Shankarnarayan is a zamindar in a village near Hyderabad. His name is "Indra". The village people treat him as God. Indra cares for people, and helps everyone in many ways. In the same village lives another Zamindar family of Shivnath, his sons Veershankarnath his four brothers and daughter Sneha. Indra and Veerashankarnath's families are enemies. Seeing Indra's nature and bravery, Sneha starts loving Indra. Indra wishes to construct a dam for his village people, and he approaches District collector for the same. The collector informs him that the place where the dam has to be constructed belongs to Veerashankarnath’s family. Indra is ready to buy the land for the dam at any cost. Veerashankar and his brothers ask Indra to write off his whole property and leave the village in return for their land. What happens next forms the rest of the plot.
