À propos de ce film

Betty Andrews (Rochelle Hudson), young, unemployed and luckless, is wrongfully convicted of shoplifting and sent to a women's prison for one year. Betty's caring attorney, Mary Ellis (Frieda Inescort), and journalist Jim Brent (Glenn Ford) take a special interest in the poor woman's case and work to get her paroled, but in the meantime Betty is forced to deal with both a sadistic female warden and the bullying inmates who do her bidding in return for preferential treatment.
