Untuk Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg), keahlian yang tak pernah dia pelajari dan kenangan tempat yang tak pernah dia kunjungi menghantuinya sehari-hari. Ketika dia melakukan swapengobatan dan nyaris mengalami keruntuhan mental, kelompok rahasia bernama "Mahaluas" datang menyelamatkannya, mengungkapkan kepadanya bahwa kenangannya nyata - tetapi itu berasal dari berbagai kehidupannya pada masa lalu. Kelompok Mahaluas membawa Evan ke dunia mereka yang luar biasa, di sana beberapa orang berbakat diberi kemampuan untuk lahir kembali dengan kenangan dan pengetahuan mereka yang terkumpul selama berabad-abad. Dengan rahasia penting yang terkubur dalam masa lalunya, Evan harus bekerja dengan para Mahaluas untuk menguak jawaban dalam kenangannya sambil berbalap dengan waktu demi menyelamatkan ras manusia dari salah satu anggota mereka (Chiwetel Ejiofor) yang berupaya menghancurkannya.

Rating dan ulasan

I saw this quite some time ago on HBO. It is much better than what critics and many viewers say, but worth not more than 3 stars. But it makes at least as much sense as 90 % of what's running now in theatres or on streamers... Which is a tragedy in so many ways :-) But still, stupid to rate other even more stupid or purely propaganda movies and series higher.... The rating systems are manipulated - or the average rater is manipulated and brain washed. No other explanation.

Loved the concept of this movie, could have been more but they narrowed it down to make it more simpler. Loved Chiwetel Ejiofor a lot in this movie, he looked more sinister and his performances were ok though less screen time and dialogues for him. Maybe I expected more with this movie but the action were just too few for me to enjoy, only intense action sequence was found at the end of the movie. They did a good job with the effects blend and wish there had been more.Great movie to watch though

It stinks,... it is just a rip off of the Highlander franchise, so badly done that the owners of Highlander know they can't get any money from it, so they aren't wasting their time to pursue a settlement. Besides it only makes Highlander look better than this crock of manure.
