Bu film haqqında

Ingrid Thorburn (Aubrey Plaza) is an unstable young woman with a checkered past of obsessive behavior. She secretly moves to Los Angeles to befriend Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen) — an Instagram "influencer" with a fabulous artist boyfriend, a camera-ready terrier, and an array of new products and brands to promote to her followers. After Ingrid adopts a Taylor-made identity for herself, her attempts to prove she's BFF material are underway — that is, until she meets Taylor's obnoxious brother Nicky, who threatens to tear down her façade. Ingrid Goes West is a savagely hilarious dark comedy that brilliantly satirizes the modern world of social media and proves that being #perfect isn't all it's cracked up to be. - ( Original Title - Ingrid Goes West )

First things first: this movie isn't a comedy. At least, it's not a comedy unless you find the blackness of the nihilistic void truly, unnervingly hilarious. I, for one, do not. This movie is perhaps an interesting (albeit disturbing) commentary on the blossoming of app-fueled obsessive narcism in our society. But even if taken for what it is, this movie drags you into an anxious, obsessive, manic-depressive hole of shame and repugnance, which makes the "comedy" label all the more ill-fitting.

Poignant and Witty I, for one, found some of the scenes in Ingrid Goes West to be hilarious. I laughed a great deal! I possess a dark sense of humor, though. I feel that the film is relevant in its material of the digital age, a time where cohesiveness and separation are united by the use of media and the internet. Frankly, the ending unnerved me. I think that it was a clever, likely outcome to the scenario, touching on reality.

Selfie did it better with an awesome cast, the cutest kid ever and John Cho. With all the reboots of old shows that had a long run, bring back the witty show that was cancelled way too soon. We deserve smarter comedies, not more vapid derogatory raunch.
