An interesting look at the folk scene before Bob Dylan broke into it. Is very well acted and the music is the real deal. Oscar Isaac can really sing and really play! Mind you his character is not particularly likable and neither is anybody else.

Could be because I watched it on a plane but I found my self constantly looking for the peak of this movie. Credit to the music and acting but the crust of the screenplay just did nothing for me. Dont even get me started on the ending. I wish I hadnt seen the last 5 minutes. It was a monotone movie with a similar monotoned drop off end.

Unlikable characters, music and no real story. The cat earned this a star which is generous. If you like feeling depressed and annoyed after a movie, this is for you.
