I've watched horror since the 80s and I always compare what's new to what has went before it. Sadly this series of movies just falls flat from the pacing to just the scares in general. The director has no real clue what makes a horror movie. If you are not one that likes horror then I'm sure you will like it because you have no real frame of reference. Horror fans though stay clear.

Insidious 2 picks the story straight up and doves right into the terror. Every scene feels unsettling and the story is darker from the last. Though it falls into clichés of the modern horror film, Insidious strives in having that little bit extra. Whether its something that catches your eye or an exceptional score that keeps the fear flowing that little bit longer, Insidious 2 will definitely make you think twice about going to sleep.

The first one scared the hell out of me, this second almost scared me to death. You best tip toe through the tulips with this one because you don't want these new horrors to find you. Gripping other half of an attention grabbing story.
