This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

Dog was the best actor. Shout out to mean girls. It was so bad it was funny, but still really really bad. Like holy shit.

Not quite as good as the first, but better than the second. Doesn't rely on cheap scare tactics to pull off a fearful ambience.

Holds up just as good if not better than the first 2.
