The creative minds behind the hit Insidious trilogy return for Insidious: Chapter 4. If you enjoy the storyline of insidious you should enjoy this film. I saw it after binge watching the previous ones so the ongoing storyline was still fresh in my mind. However it isn't as scary as the last films so if you are looking for a quick scare this isn't it and lots more films would do this better. It does a great job of building tension throughout the film and though sparing with its jump scares, the ones which were included were good, it just needed a few more.

It didn't make sense to have a prequel after the previous insidious movies. Knowing what happened to certain characters made this movie feel pointless. They should've started with an origin story to begin with

I'm not as critical as most when it comes to reviews but I'm afraid to say this isn't a horror film more of a documentary prequel...... And not a very good one at that, glad I didn't go to the cinema to watch this I'm afraid. If your looking for a horror keep on looking and let this pass you by
