Still stands up today even though it's a bit dated but Pitt & Cruise really play their respective roles perfectly. I suggest you try to forget that it came out years ago & also focus on the film & the story more than your opinion of the actors you may have in the present day. This holds nothing back it's brutal & beautiful & sad & gives us Pitt's life/death story as he recounts it as honestly as he struggles with his conscience

Saving grace is Tom Cruise's rendition of Lestat. By far, the best Lestat and also best role Cruise has played. Far better put together than the modern vampire films (I haven't watched any of those TV series vampire things though ) Also credit ought to go to Antonio Banderas for being in this too!!

Not a huge fan of Tom Cruise but he was absolutely phenomenal in this role. This is a film I will never tire of and my kids have all thoroughly enjoyed being introduced to it too.
