Leon Saint
A brilliant film, glorious in its direction, cinematography and production. Penn has been able to bring a very faithful movie adaptation to the screen here, as he does with most things, love him or hate him the guy is a talent. The subject matter is open to enterpretation however. Mccandless was not just stupid, he was also terribly selfish however the nomadic life appeals to some, personally I thought he suffered due to lack of sense. Still a wonderful film if only to present a rather silly boys journey

A moving tale about a foolish pseudo-philosopher dying in the woods because of basic mistakes which, if he had done any relevant reading, would have been avoided. Penn really captured the guys idiocy, probably due to personal experience with the affliction.

Nothing short of superb. Emile Hirsch plays the role of Chris McCandless to perfection. Also nice to see some of the real people who met Chris on his travels playing themselves in this film. Watch it!
