In the not-too-distant future, two young women, Nell (Ellen Page) and Eva (Evan Rachel Wood) must struggle to survive after a mysterious continent-wide power cut. Lacking electricity and gasoline, the sisters find themselves isolated in a run-down country house. Their only connection to society comes from the frantic radio reports of breakdowns, terrorism, disease and uncontrolled violence that grip the nation. Nell and Eva must work together to fight intruders and starvation, as they strive for survival in a world on the brink of apocalypse.

Bewertungen und Rezensionen

The preview does not do this film justice! It was interesting seeing how the sisters characters develop when their lives are forever changed. As others have said, the ending was bad. If there was a 2nd film to continue the story then it would make this ending more acceptable.

This was a good film it's just ashame about the ending that spoilt it as it looked like the writer of the film just couldn't be bothered and had given up and got bored it was so rushed it was very disappointing I just can't understand why a writer that can write such a great film then shove a rubbish ending onto it so disappointed 😞

Unfortunately it has happened in real life many times .....but this was a great film if you have an ounce of compassion you will need a load of tissues really well written .
