James Marsden, Thomas Jane, Piper Perabo and Academy Award® winner Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade, 1997) star in this action-packed adventure set in the Alaskan wilderness. After a relentless grizzly starts to wreak havoc on a small town, the sheriff heads into the forest to find his ecologist wife but instead crosses paths with his estranged, ex-con brother. They soon find themselves on the run from the massive killer bear. The hunted become the hunter in this edge-of-your seat thriller about the power of nature and the smell of blood.

Nothing screams original in this film at all. The film's narrative is a hybrid rip-off and cliche of "jaws" and "the edge': borrowing scenes from jaws and the edge but with different camera cuts and a different cast. There is also a CGI effect of the bear at the final climax of the film and it's poorly executed. Obviously, there are inaccuracies of grizzly bears here: Grizzlies are not man-eaters (they don't eat humans), grizzly attacks on humans are rare (they are actually not out to kill us), they are not always killing machines, It is not the animal's fault that we are trespassing onto their territory, and of course, you can't outrun any bear under any circumstances (bears run as fast as horses). During the climax, the director uses a clever plot twist and stretches out the battle to make us not expect the predictably expected. Sure, the movie does have some clever direction; using the simplistic and quintessential example of "suspense." The less-known cast did a great job with their acting, and let's not forget Bart No. 2 the trained brown bear did an exquisite job as the giant rogue Kodiak bear. There is some information about the characters and even a backstory for the main character. Even though the film clocks in at 1 hr and 30 mins, the pacing of the film is a little similar to Jaws. despite that the story is a completely unoriginal copycat, the story has layers (having more relentless killers than just the bear, like poachers, and having some depth). The cinematography has sweeping scope of Alaska and brings quick cuts within the action sequences to deliver frightening intense passages. The color palette within the imagery can go from looking grim and spooky to bright and upbeat. The orchestral score is composed by a German composer named Marcus Trumpp. His music can go from dark and ominous to epic and aggressive. Into The Grizzly Maze is well-acted, well-directed, and intense, but seriously! Do we really need this stereotypical and predictable horror cliche? NO.

250 million to make age of ultron- avengers, and I fell asleep a couple of times. freaking cartoon, there was so much CGI. this movie at least kept me entertained throughout. beautiful scenery, well put together cast that did quite a decent job! it wasn't "the edge" but still did not disappoint. I give it three and a half stars!

Great cast, Fast paced,intense,exciting , and one hell of a finale, Surprisingy above average fx make this an Adrenaline Rushing must see ...Thumbs up!
