Charming romantic fantasy comedy that contains just enough emotional realism to keep it from floating off entirely into the ether. Well-observed screenplay is equal parts naivete and cynicism, poking fun at the idea that every living, breathing human in Los Angeles, whatever their "straight job," is secretly a writer-actor-director. The characters are fun and the performances adroit. Although in "real life" not every aspiring actress falls in love with a famous director and becomes a star - hey, that's what the Hollywood dream factory is all about!

"Introducing Jodea" is so warm and wonderfully cheesy, that it could be Mom’s lasagna. The film evoked the feelings teenage me had, after viewing the fabulous romcoms of the 80's and 90's, following in the iconic “underdog trains hard, gains mad skills, and smashes it” genre, á la “Dirty Dancing.” Although, the Pygmalion aspect brings “Pretty Woman” to mind. Chloe Traicos is the perfect Jodea. One imagines she’s experienced some of the character’s struggles, as an actor, and she navigates the story in a believable and charming fashion. The rest of the cast handles stereotypes of “the biz” with Jeff Coppage as the temperamental director/live interest, and we also see the delightfully sleazy agent, demanding stars, and all the struggling artists working menial jobs, hoping for a big break. I didn’t know Traicos wrote the script, till the credits rolled. Knowing the lead also wrote, produced, etc. a project is always inspiring! Watching “Introducing Jodea” was a lovely break from real life!

Introducing Jodea was pretty good. I love the storyline. I loved It had a balance of seriousness and comedy but the splash of the romance. I felt this movie told a story of how inspired actors and actresses wanting to become an actor/actress And what they have to go through or would have gone through if that make sense.Chloes Traicos performance was amazing. I really felt her character.
