It perfectly recreates Philly during the time period of Dick Vermeil's start of coaching the Eagles and the story of an open try-out in which they actually found and signed a local to play for the team. The acting and music are all great. My gripe is that they seem to have chosen a weird cross-section of gameplay to portray in the movie. It doesn't quite end where you think it might; others might like this aspect but I was a little put off by it. Still, a very well done movie and if you are a Philly fan or native it seems to be required viewing.

I watched this movie after the eagles won over the packers in the first NFL game in Sao Paulo Brazil. Mark is just starting his character actor path with this role that inspires people to keep going. True story sports genre aren't usually my favorite flicks, but give this one a chance.

I am a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan...And this movie is for anyone who is and who is NOT a Philadelphia Eagles fan. This movie was absolutely entertaining and romantic, Mark Wahlberg played an outstanding role as Vince Papale. Greg Kinnear looks like Dick Vermeil's twin brother. But like I said, is for anyone who is a Philly Sports fan or NOT...this movie I would give an extra 5 stars!
