Solid but very lacking and wastes built up potential. They had the setup for the best CBM villain since the Dark Knight but they turned him in a joke and made a meh villain in the form of Killian instead. On the other hand the action is still fun and RDJ still nails it as Iron Man

This film more than makes up for the lack luster second film... That is, if you can get over the twist. It's one of those movies that gets better when you watch it again, as the first watch through you might be reeling from the shock of the twist and that will colour your flavour for the rest of the movie. It's a movie about coming over post traumatic stress and becoming the man you need to be to survive. Unlike a lot of other superhero movies, Iron Man 3 is refreshingly selfish, Stark isn't out to save the world, he is out to save himself! And Robert Downey Jr is amazingly fun to watch as always, with Sir Ben Kingsley doing a wonderful performance as the "Mandarin". The Marvel One Shot "All Hail the King" is mandatory to watch at the completion of this film.
