George Bailey has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all -- and it's Christmas! As the angels discuss George, we see his life in flashback. As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all of his good deeds over the years. Will Clarence be able to convince George to return to his family and forget suicide?

Basically the message is if he was never born everyone's life would be rubbish... Talk about an over inflated ego... No one should watch this. …

I love this film for its literally life affirming message, Jimmy Stewart's acting, and the now historical setting. Though it's billed as a Christmas film, Christmas plays only a minor role and its appeal is much broader. Watch it in January or February or March!

This film is pure magic. The brilliance is within the simple message it portrays. Never give up. It's A Wonderful Life is a wonderful piece of cinematic history. Just what the world needs right now is a Clarence.
