Craig is a high-school junior, in the gifted program, infatuated with his best friend's girl. When he realizes he's suicidal, he checks himself into the psychiatric ward of a hospital, thinking they'll do an observation, help him, and send him home in time for school the next day. Once in, however, he must stay for a week; the juvenile ward is being renovated, so he's in with adults as well as a few youths. Bobby, a man with a young daughter, shows him around; Craig notices Noelle, about his age. He tries to keep his friends from finding out where he is. Little things: he draws, goes to therapy, sings, helps Bobby rehearse an interview

This movie actually puts things in perspective. Just when you think you've got it bad, this film shows you that it could be a lot worse, and one shouldn't take for granted the few positive things in life.

To be honest, I watched this because the guy in the description fits how I've been feeling. The issues with school, finding work, knowing what it is I want to be in this life, all of it I have been struggling with. This movie helped open my eyes on how to get through these issues. I didn't expect to get such a helpful lesson from it like I did, but I'm glad the opportunity arose. Anyone who is having problems of making it through the day to day stress that seems to build up, they will enjoy this movie.

This movie was excellent and should be shown in high schools. Currently I am in college about to graduate with my Bachelor's of Veterinary Science; Clinical Medicine. Many of my friends with aspirations of Vet school are stressed and some have turned to prescriptions for anti-anxiety. It is ashame to see great people crack under pressure. I feel movies such as this can help show people while you panic about tomorrow, today is passing by.
