During his lifetime, J. Edgar Hoover would rise to be the most powerful man in America. As head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for nearly 50 years, he would stop at nothing to protect his country. In a sense a history of America across the twentieth century, seen through the eyes, the challenges and the passions of one person who shaped and was shaped by the events and the attitudes of the day. The relationships are beautifully acted. Fascinating.

For me it was a really great movie, its touching and informative. Its great for people who love biographies. Would recommend it to anyone.

Sorry I liked it. A bit long. Excellent acting.
