Predictable, right down to hacking intrusion scene, car chase, kidnapped girlfriend, and terrorist explosive averted with seconds to spare. But fun, well cast and mostly well acted. Not a bad way to spend an evening. Just bring popcorn and leave brain on hold.

At great action movie with all the twists and trolls of a great Tom Clancy spy thrilled.Chris Pine at his best makes the Jack Ryan character his own just as Alex Baldwin,Ben Afleck and one other bloke have done.

Chris Pine is great as Jack Ryan in This Tom Clancy classic! Cannot help but remember the Jack Ryan best of the best Harrison Ford & Alec Baldwin but I think Pine is up there on the level. Support actors pull their weight here also to bring this novel to life. Worth watching.
