The stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in CLERKS are back, bringing high times and hilarity in the newest star- studded adventure from Kevin Smith’s legendary franchise. When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, it’s game on, as the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop the madness all over again! With all-star cameos from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Hemsworth, Rosario Dawson, Melissa Benoist, Joe Manganiello, Molly Shannon, and more, this is the kickass comedy reboot you’ve been waiting for.

I'm a huge fan of Kevin Smith. I've been able to catch most of his flicks in theatres since Mallrats. But as I watched this film, all I could think of to myself was that the entire script came across as some masturbatory official fanfic comprised of way too many on-the-nose jokes and no heart. I really do hope Kevin continues with these movies, but this one was a total miss for me.

Woof! Maybe after some rewatches this movie will mature like a "How High" fine wine, but for now... 😐 While "Strike Back" was a View Askew reunion movie like "Reboot"; "Strike Back" at least felt like a coherent (and funny) story. This film has a story, but there's just parts of it that go on way past the point of the joke and get very tiresome (especially the lame dad jokes). This film is strictly for View Askew Universe fans ONLY and not something I'd suggest anyone else watching.

Just bad. I've been a big fan of Kevin Smith's movies over the years but this one was hard to get through. The writing was barely existent & was a thin excuse to have J & SB walk through a long line of cameos from older Smith movies. Most of the dialog was really forced nostalgia gags. It looked like it was filmed on an iPhone. Characters didn't make sense. It was just a mess from beginning to end.
