À propos de ce film

Starring Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, TV's How I Met Your Mother), Ed Helms (Hangover I & II) and Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, Jeff, Who Lives at Home is the story of one man's hilarious search for the meaning of life. As slacker Jeff stumbles towards enlightenment, he uncovers answers to his nagging family's problems. Jeff has no idea where he's going but when he finally gets there, he might just find out what it's all about in this gem of a movie that is funny, tender and ultimately moving.

The only reason I even heard about this movie was because I am a fan of Jason Segel films. He's a smart actor who chooses scripts wisely (or even writes them himself) and I have yet to see a film that he's in that disappoints me. This film feels a lot like an independent film when it comes to the production quality, but that doesn't mean that the story or execution is any less powerful than a Hollywood blockbuster.

Honestly, I thought this was going to be another movie that is so stupid its funny kinda movie. BUT it wasn't. It has a deep message. Whether you are Jeff or Pat you'll understand and relate. Humor keeps the movie from being overly dramatic and morbid with a day full of unfortunate events. It even made me cry. I loved it from beginning to end.

I saw the previews..wanted to see it...saw it...was glad that I did. This movie was definitely worth the watch. It really is a movie that's like real life, so I think that people can easily relate to it. It's no Shawshank Redemption or anything like that, but it's definitely worth checking out. And I really think that Ed Helms did a great job. He won't win an award off of it I don't imagine, but it was enjoyable and impressive to see him play this part. Again, it's not a mind-blowingly good movie, nor did Ed pull off a Philip Seymour Hoffman in MI3 kind of performance, but it's worth checking out if you've been wanting to see it. And the ending is pretty cool :)
