I was totally surprised when by the end I realized that this movie is really a way the viewer can actually FEEL the depths of corruption caused by slavery, which had the power to corrupt even so great a man as Thomas Jefferson, and the power to so delude that the corrupted could not see their own corruption. The connection to the French Revolution delivered the double message that corruption at the top can produce a revolution that itself is already corrupted by insane cruelty.

What I love about this movie is the depth of passion and imperfections of how humanity is...we forget ourselves... That none are perfect, but the amazing thing is the grace, and diligence and courage to live abundantly... Acting is totally awesome and awesome costumes... With great love, passion and courage to be who one is,no matter the beliefs or trails of life and the path one is on...each one's path differs unto the other...each one's learning differs from another,as well as wisdom
