I'm not surprised how Lungsfull has conveniently left out all of the controversies surrounding him over the years-- his son's arrest for sex crimes, the CP found on his computer, Lungsfull's feud with Bubba The Love Sponge, and the barrage of news stories questioning Lungsfull's use of funds for his foundation. Other victim advocates don't respect Mark. If there was ever a man using his child's story for personalgain, it is Lungsfull.

This film masterfully tells Mark Lundsford's story in exactly the way Mark approaches his advocacy work: by making it available enough to be "universally understood." "Jessie's Dad" shows Mark's transformation from an "uneducated trucker driver" to a "savvy activist utilizing intimate, observational footage that gives clarity to the complexity and layers of depth to the surface impressions we've gotten from the media over the years. It is not a depressing film. In fact, it is inspiring. I am all at once aching, angry, and humbled by Mark's story. I am thankful for documentaries like "Jessie's Dad." We need more of them. Everyone needs to see this film.

Mark Lunsford is an inspiration for turning tragedy into strength. His worst nightmare has built a stronger protection for all our children. I appreciate that this documentary focused fully on the subject, leaving all ego of the filmmaker out. Usually we feel the filmmaker presence in their docs but Boaz Dvir paints a portrait of realness and pain that needs to be shared. We should show this doc in schools and to every parent out there. Thank you Mark Lunsford and Boaz Dvir....
