It's all about the Soy Sauce, a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No, no they can't.

I am amazed that I actually paid for this drivel. A senior moment obviously. Don't bother with this, it's 90 mins of your life that will be totally wasted. You would get more enjoyment from repeatedly poking yourself with a pointed stick.

so if the Matrix tells you that you have a choice about how you see the world (red pill vs blue pill) the true horror of the black sauce is that some things once seen, you cannot unsee. like the matrix this film has some philosophy embedded in its action, and the subjective nature of reality is part of the plot. this film is and should be in the canon of cult movies.

I've watched it twice now and it has jumped from 3 to 4 stars. The book(s) is/are 5 stars though.
